Four Beverly Hills Residents to Play in Maccabi World Games 2013

Update: Also qualified for the games is Bob Jason, a Beverly hills resident of 25 years. He is Managing Director at Nigro Karlin Segal & Feldstein, a large business management and accounting firm.

Held every four years, the Maccabi World Games is the world’s third largest international sporting competition featuring over 7,000 athletes (Juniors, Open & Masters divisions) from more than 60 countries. Notable former Maccabi Games athletes include tennis gold medalists Allen Fox and Brad Gilbert as well as Olympic swimmer Jason Lezak, gymnast Aly Raisman, and Australian track star Steven Soloman.

Taking their place alongside athletes from across the globe at the 19th Maccabi World Games to be held in 2013 are three local women who qualified for the Masters division in tennis.

Rochelle Maize is a local Beverly Hills resident. She works at Nourmand & Associates and has consistently been voted one of Beverly Hills’ top Realtors. Local tennis pro Holly Cohen is the general manager and head pro at the La Cienega Tennis Center in Beverly Hills. Holly is also head of the Beverly Hills Tennis Camp. Suzee Markowitz lives in Beverly Hills and manages their family restaurant, “Factors Famous Deli” – a long time favorite of Beverly Hills residents. Go Girls!

The 19th Maccabiah Games will be held in Israel from July 17 – 30, 2013 with the Opening Ceremony taking place on July 18 in Jerusalem.
