2009 — Myra Nourmand was recognized by Hadassah, the largest volunteer organization and the largest women’s organization in the United States. Hadassah honored Nourmand for her tireless commitment and care for the local community and Israel. The event took place on March 25, 2009 at the Montage Hotel in Beverly Hills.

Since its founding in 1912, Hadassah’s members are motivated and inspired to strengthen their partnership with Israel, ensure Jewish continuity, and realize their potential as a dynamic force in American society.
“I accept this award on behalf of my mother, Yetta, my three children and two grandchildren, and all women who have made Hadassah what it is today,” says Nourmand.
